These terms apply to all rentals with Auto Drive Car Rental and should be read together with your rental agreement.
1. Rental Eligibility
Renters must be at least 21 years old (25 for luxury and sports cars) and hold a valid driving licence for at least one year.
2. Required Documents
UAE residents: Emirates ID and UAE driving licence. Visitors: passport, visit visa and valid home-country licence or International Driving Permit.
3. Driving Licence Requirements
The licence must be valid for the full rental period. Licences from certain countries require an International Driving Permit.
4. Rental Period
Rentals are calculated in 24-hour periods from the time of pick-up. Weekly and monthly rates apply to 7-day and 30-day periods.
5. Rental Charges
Rental charges are as agreed at booking and include VAT unless stated otherwise.
6. Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit is required and is released after the car is returned and all fines and tolls have been cleared.
7. Mileage Limit
Each rental includes a mileage allowance shown on the car page and in your rental agreement.
8. Extra Mileage Charges
Kilometres above the allowance are charged at the per-km rate for the vehicle.
9. Fuel Policy
Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level. Missing fuel is charged at the current rate plus a service fee.
10. Salik / Toll Charges
Salik toll charges incurred during the rental are charged to the renter.
11. Parking Charges
Public parking fees and parking fines during the rental are the renter's responsibility.
12. Traffic Fines
All traffic fines and black points during the rental period are the renter's responsibility and are charged with an admin fee.
13. Insurance
Standard comprehensive insurance is included. An excess applies for each claim unless full cover is purchased.
14. Accident & Damage
Any accident or damage must be reported to the police and to us immediately. A police report is required for all claims.
15. Additional Drivers
Only drivers named on the rental agreement may drive the vehicle.
16. Late Returns
Late returns beyond the grace period are charged per hour or as an additional rental day.
17. Rental Extensions
Extensions must be requested before the return time and are subject to availability.
18. Cancellation & Refund
Bookings may be cancelled free of charge before delivery or collection. Refunds are processed to the original payment method.
19. Vehicle Replacement
If a vehicle becomes unavailable, we will provide a similar or higher-category replacement.
20. Prohibited Vehicle Use
Vehicles may not be used for racing, off-road driving (unless approved), towing, sub-letting or any illegal purpose.
21. Cross-Border Use
Vehicles may not leave the UAE without prior written approval and the required insurance.
22. Payment Terms
We accept credit/debit cards and other approved payment methods. Rental charges are payable in advance.
23. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates.
